Juan Alonso has been appointed Professor of Fundamental Theology.

The Dean of the School of Canon Law, Jorge Miras, and the professors of the School of Theology José Ramón Villar, Vicente Balaguer and Miguel Lluch received the Silver Medal of the University of Navarra for their 25 years of professional dedication in the campus. 

Graduates

Esteban Puig y Tarrats, graduate of the University of Navarra, has joined the National Academy of Ecclesiastical History of Peru as a full member. Mons. Puig, graduate in Education and History, was vice Chancellor of the Catholic University Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo (USAT). He is also a member of the National Academy of History of Peru. Jaume Pujol, doctor in Theology and in Sciences of the Education by the University, and at present archbishop of Tarragona, has published the book Records i esperances, in which he recalls his personal and diocesan experiences. Mons. Pujol was director of programs of study and secretary of the School of Theology, as well as director of the department of Pastoral and catechesis and of the high school Superior of Religious Sciences.

Anastasio Gil García, doctor by the School of Theology of campus and director in Spain of Pontifical Missionary Works, has been appointed director of the Chair of Missiology of the School of Theology of San Dámaso of Madrid.

Activities in the campus

Pasquale Porro, professor at the University of Bari, offered the seminar "The scientific status of theology in the Middle Ages". The activity was organized by the School of Theology and the Special Line of Spanish Classical Thought (School of Philosophy and Letters).

Miguel Angel Martínez, Full Professor of Preventive Medicine and director of department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health of the University, gave the seminar "From the contrast of conventional hypothesis in science to the hypothesis of evolution", organized by the group of research 'Science, Reason and Faith'.

Professor Ramiro Pellitero offered the session 'The Christian inspiration of the University of Navarra' for teachers and researchers of the School of Sciences, of which he is chaplain.

Professor María Blanco gave a seminar for teachers at the School of Canon Law, under the degree scroll 'La edición crítica de la Abadesa de las Huelgas'.

Activities outside the campus

Professor José Ramón Villar gave the lecture "Role of the priest in the ecclesial communion" in the second meeting of training Permanent of the diocesan clergy of Almería. 

Professor José María Pardo, PhD in Theology and Medicine, participated in the conference 'Key Issues in Contemporary Bioethics IV', organized by the Catholic University San Antonio of Murcia. During his intervention, he explained the possible causes and solutions to the abuse of minors.
