Professor Rafael Domingo's thought, to be studied in South Korea

In the last congress of the Korean Society of Philosophy of Law, a lecture and a colloquium on the theistic conception of law by Professor Rafael Domingo, head of the Chair Álvaro d'Ors, ICS of the University of Navarra, was held at the Catholic University of South Korea.

position The lecture entitled "The Metajuridical God of Rafael Domingo" was hosted by Professor Jonghyu Jeong, Full Professor of law, former ambassador to the Holy See and Professor Emeritus of Chonnam National University.

Domingo has elaborated a theistic theory of law valid for the secular age, which has been internationally recognized and published, in English, in his works God and the Legal Order (2016), Law and Religion in the Secular Age (2023). When asked about the interest of Dominic's thought for Korea, Professor Jeong said, "If we ignore the question of God in the juridical debates of the 21st century, everything will go astray. Even if we talk about natural law or human ecology (Pope Benedict XVI), for such ideas to be really persuasive, God must be recognized. The problem is how to explain God in a persuasive way in this overwhelming atheistic and cultural Marxist atmosphere. This is where Professor Dominic's theory of the need for law to be open to the metajuridical fits in wonderfully."
