The Vice Chancellor of the University, Ignacio Barrera, has appointed Santiago Casas Associate Dean of the School of Theology. He has also appointed Diego Pérez Gondar, Associate Dean for Students and Office of Academic Affairs, and Miguel Brugarolas, Associate Dean for academic staff and research. Professors César Izquierdo and Francisco Varo will continue with their work professor and research at the academic centre.

Santiago Casas is graduate in Theology (1998) from the Pontificia Università della Santa Croce; graduate in Geography and History (1994) from the University Rovira i Virgili; and Doctor in Theology (2001) from the University of Navarra. A specialist in the History of the Councils and of the contemporary Spanish Church, he is director of the high school of Church History and Deputy Director of the department of programs of study Biblical and Church History of the School of Theology.

Diego Pérez Gondar is graduate in Industrial Engineering - Automation and Electronics (1999) from the University of Vigo, and graduate (2008) and PhD (2009) in Biblical Theology from the University of Navarra. Currently, he is a professor of department of programs of study Biblical and Church History at School of Theology. Previously, he taught teaching at the San José Theological Institute (seminar Mayor de Vigo), attached to the Pontifical University of Salamanca (2010-12).

Miguel Brugarolas is graduate in Philosophy (2009) and PhD in Sacred Theology (2011) from the University of Navarra. He is currently Deputy Director of department of Systematic Theology and publisher associate of the journal Scripta Theologica, of which committee publishing house has been a member since 2012. Professor of Dogmatic Theology, specialising in Trinitarian theology and Christology. He has spent time at research at the Medieval Institute of the University of Notre Dame (Indiana, USA), at the Faculty of Theology and Religion of the University of Oxford, and at the Herzogliches Georgianum in Munich.
