On February 15, CEJE researcher and collaborating professor at the University of Navarra, Inmaculada Alva, gave a talk on "The Beginnings of Opus Dei in the United States, 1950-1957," seminar . She focused especially on the figure of Narcisa González Guzmán, one of the first numeraries of Opus Dei and one of the five women who brought the message of the Work to the United States. Alva reflected on the effort and interest of the women of Opus Dei to adapt to the American culture, and the correspondence between those who had gone to begin and those who were in Mexico, such as Guadalupe Ortiz de Landázuri.
