Zoom warns us of the need to update our Zoom desktop client to version 5.10.0 or higher, to avoid a security flaw in its communications software.

If you see issue at the bottom of the screen with a version lower than 5.10.0 when you start Zoom, you need to update your video call software.

The most convenient way to fix this is to use the "Software Centre" available on university computers, which you can access by pressing the Windows key and start typing "Software Centre". Once opened, click on the zoom application and click "Install" to update your software with a secure version.
