tool Society's general awareness of the role of statistics as a fundamental tool to support economic and social decision making is contributing to the greater prestige and recognition of the public institutions that develop and coordinate the activity of official statistics, in particular and in an outstanding manner, the National Statistics Institute (INE) high school .

The INE aims to recognize on an annual basis an outstanding scientific contribution and work in the field of statistics and thereby stimulate the research, the development and the application of statistical methodology among scientists and academics in our country.
