Resilience: the ability to adapt and cope with difficult situations.
"For me it is an attitude that we often have to apply in our care, so that patients feel supported by us," says Rocío. Nursing is a profession that many do not realise the silence it entails. Nurses are dependent on many patients, that is to say, in addition to curing, they help their patients emotionally.
In the midst of difficult situations, they have the ability to bring light and a smile. They help them adapt to the new reality of the disease. This is resilience: despite their own problems, they are able to overcome them and help others. They adapt their feelings, emotions and personality to the reality experienced by their patients, in order to bring them peace, tranquillity and security.
