About us
This group seeks to diagnose contemporary societies through the lens of emotions, which are increasingly present in all areas of human reality. The work of 'Emotional culture and identity' is developed around the following lines of research: bonds, emotions and identity; the narrative construction of identity; mediation and social bonds; and disagreement and social bonds.
The strategy of group to address the nature and function of emotions in social action and the construction of identity in contemporary societies is twofold. On the one hand, it develops a theoretical and conceptualframework that allows us to approach social action including the emotional dimension of the human being. On the other hand, it carries out applied studies that serve as a documentary source and to verify the conceptual framework that is being developed.
