Letter from director
Dear friends:
Welcome to institute of modern languages of the University of Navarra, a center of reference letter for the teaching of languages!
In the 60 years of our history, institute of modern languages has stood out for the variety and quality of its offer professor and the high level of preparation of its academic staff. We are an international team and collaborate actively in the internationalization of the University of Navarra and in the development educational and professional community of Navarra.
We devise, organize and teach language courses for students of the University of Navarra, its professors and other employees, and the general public. The nine languages offered to date are Arabic, Chinese, Basque, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, German, Russian and Chinese.
In addition to compulsory and elective subjects in many of the University's degree programmes, we also offer modules in a number of postgraduate program.
Two thirds of our teachers are not only native users of the languages they teach, but also have training at postgraduate program in some field of applied linguistics and/or language teaching , which directly benefits the teaching activity: methodology, materials, online resources and projects of research.
In addition to teaching, institute of modern languages is also committed to the international certification of language skills. Special exam preparation courses are offered for English (Cambridge English, TOEFL iBT), French (DELF and DALF) and Italian. In addition, institute of modern languages has been an examination centre for the University of Cambridge since 1971.
