In a class it is essential that student is not a passive and anonymous assistant, but that he/she is mentally active, thinking about the topic of the lesson, and that this sometimes takes the form of interventions, questions, etc.

It is what gives us clues to solve or understand it, opens new lines of research, awakens our interest and motivates us to continue working on topic.
