Resumen: This article contrasts two groups of texts by Origen. In the first, our author shows his propensity for reading biblical journeys (e.g. Abraham¿s departure from his native land, the Israelites¿ going out of Egypt, etc.) in a `spiritual¿ way. In the second, he appears to read biblical journeys more literally, often to suggest withdrawal in a more physical sense from the secular milieu and its activities.
