EL PROJECT
The present project has as goal the development of a virtual energy model of a building in use, which will be validated in the building of the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra. This building is more than 40 years old and it is planned to integrate photovoltaic energy and storage elements (batteries) to improve its efficiency. Based on the descriptive model of the building elaborated by UNAV, the energy model to be developed for the building will integrate:
Modeling of physical elements.
The prediction of renewable generation and building consumptions.
The smart energymanagement .
An integrated virtual energymodel will be obtained, which will provide detailed information on the energy performance of the building under different conditions of use.
WHAT ARE OUR OBJECTIVES?
E3LAB has as its main goal to develop a first version of an energy model for buildings in use.
This model will help managers in the construction and/or rehabilitation phase, as well as in the daily operation and maintenance of the same, to address the improvement of energy efficiency and sustainability, as well as the industrialization and automation of the processes involved. It will also make it possible to quantify the comfort and improvement in energy savings produced by the incorporation of these new technologies.
