XIV conference DE IUSTITIA ET IURE
NATURE AND POLITICAL THEORY
IN MEDIEVAL AND RENAISSANCE THOUGHT
26, 27 and 28 August 2019
Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina
Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires
Edificio Tomás Moro - 3rd floor, classroom n. 307
The XIV conference De Iustitia et Iure: Nature and Political Theory in Medieval and Renaissance Thought aims to give continuity to the field shared by scholars from America and Europe, for more than a decade now and with the institutional support of various houses of study, on 26, 27 and 28 August 2019 at the campus of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina.
The primary goal of the XIV conference De Iustitia et Iure is to generate an academic-critical space that considers various phases of Medieval and Renaissance contributions to the binomial: Nature and Political Theory. This also includes the examination of the re-readings of Greek and Roman tradition sources in the course of this fertile period in the history of ideas and, therefore, to carry out a historical-theoretical review of Medieval and Renaissance hermeneutics.
We thus invite you to approach the topic of the 2019 De Iustitia et Iure conference from multiple perspectives: either from Practical Philosophy and its metaphysical and anthropological foundations, or from Philosophy and History of Law, together with its developments in the different legal disciplines, from History in general and Political Science, from the Ethics of Economics and the field of Letters in the search for a dialogue of interdisciplinary breadth, which certainly opens to the discussion of the problematic of the conference in the field of the Second Scholasticism and its projections in
America.
