Aita Menni

Hermanas Hospitalarias Aita Menni is a non-profit institution created 125 years ago in Gipuzkoa for the care of people with mental illness, which currently offers highly specialized services in the areas of mental health, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorders, neurorehabilitation and care for dependent elderly people.

Aita Menni has a total staff of 1,000 professionals, who offer humane, efficient and quality care, in accordance with the values of ethics and Hospitality, in 20 care centers in Gipuzkoa and Bizkaia. Our headquarters is the Aita Menni Hospital in Arrasate / Mondragon, but we are present in San Sebastian, Bilbao and other towns in Gipuzkoa and Biscay.

Our staff is part of multidisciplinary teams that cover a care offer of more than 900 residential places, 500 day care places and almost 40,000 outpatient consultations per year, both in our centers and in others belonging to the Basque Government, the Provincial Councils of Gipuzkoa and Bizkaia, and the Basque Health Service - Osakidetza.

We are leaders and at the forefront in the management of pathologies or disorders of the central nervous system with behavioral alterations that require psychological intervention for their treatment and rehabilitation, as well as in the rehabilitation of brain damage and other neurological disorders.

We also develop research projects within the social and health care field in partnership with different entities and universities, both public and private. Our firm commitment to innovation is reflected in the permanent contact with entities and companies that lead technological advances in our fields of action and in the incorporation of technology that financial aid us in our work, facilitates rehabilitation processes and improves the quality of life of the people we serve.
