summary:

BIM models are a recent implementation in the sector of Building and are part of the digitalisation process that all production sectors are undergoing. They are a first step towards the implementation of industrial revolution 4.0, where virtual reality and digital twins are key elements. For this reason, it is necessary to increase their commercial value and improve their adaptation to other processes that take place in this sector. Buildings are responsible for 36% of GHG emissions, so there is a growing interest in optimising their energy use and reducing their consumption needs. BEMs are an element core topic in this process. These models are currently being used for the energy certification of buildings, but a significant mismatch has been observed in the ability of these models to represent reality, so work has started on a process of calibrating them to reduce the mismatch between measured and simulated.

Taking BIM models as a starting point, the project B&B will try to provide business with a control system based on model calibrated to implement the improvement strategies to be carried out in the building. This system will allow the analysis of the thermal behaviour of the building and thus generate actions focused on the reduction of environmental impacts, such as energy efficiency or CO2 reduction at Building.
