Presentation
The doctoral program in Nursing Science is part of the School of doctorate that the University of Navarra has implemented, in the framework established by the RD 99/2011, as a planning, coordination and monitoring body of the doctorate programmes, and the manager of its development and organisation is the School of Nursing.
It is a programme adapted to the European Higher Education Area Education that complies with Royal Decree 1393/2007, of 29 October, which establishes the Office of Academic Affairs of official university education. It has been positively evaluated by the National Agency of assessment of the Quality of Universities National Agency for Assessment of Quality and Accreditation (04/03/2015), positively verified by the committee of Universities, and C with official character by the Ministry of Education.
The programme has been taught since the 2011-2012 academic year and is configured as an interdepartmental programme (department of Nursing Care for Adult Patients and department of Community and Maternal and Child Nursing) in which professors from both Departments direct and co-direct thesis doctoral programmes.
The academic background of the Programme is based on the University Master's Degree in research and Advanced Role in Nursing (C with official status by the Ministry of Education, BOE of 16 December 2010), now taught as UniversityMaster's Degree Programme in internship Advanced and management in Nursing after the approval in July 2013 of the modification of its Study program. This Master's Degree is recommended as a period of training for those students who are going to enrol in this doctoral program.
