- Vocation -
Nursing is not just a profession in which a person is cared for in hospital or given medication. Nursing is much more.
To be a nurse is to endow the profession with a human character that seeks to empower the patient in all its aspects, thus making the patient the protagonist. The nurse gives so much importance to care that he or she is not only interested in it, but even suffers with the person.
It is a profession that not everyone is called to. You have to have a vocation, understood as something indestructible, something you can only do if you are ready for it.
Because nursing does not set boundaries or select patients to care for. It reaches out to the whole of society no matter where they come from.
