training , and the college experience are not limited to classroom or to formal coursework. A very significant part of college life takes place in ways that are never evaluated—activities that students undertake out of genuine intellectual interest and a sincere commitment to their own personal development.

Reading booksrelated to one’s own field of study discipline —beyond the required reading for each course subject —is, therefore, an intellectual habit expected of any college student, but it is even more so in the case of history students. And, along with reading, there is little more quintessentially college-like than discussion—the dialogue between professors and students, and the dialogue among peers embarking on the same intellectual adventure.

"Great Books of History " aims to be a space for meeting between teachers and historians at training, where the students intern from department can share one of their reading experiences with their colleagues at Degree , based on thelist of great history booksproposed by the faculty from department in the fields of History, Art History, and Geography.
