Miguel Brugarolas, lecturer at School of Theology at the University of Navarra, spent July and August as an academic visitor at the Faculty of Theology and Religion, University of Oxford

There, with the support of Professor Johannes Zachhuber (Trinity College, University of Oxford), he has continued to work on his line of research on divine transcendence and the relationship of God and creatures in Gregory of Nyssa.

In addition, during his stay and at framework of the XVIII International Conference on Patristic Studies in Oxford, Professor Brugarolas organised a workshop graduate 4th Century Christology in Context: A Reconsideration in which he was joined by seven other international professors: Khaled Anatolios(University of Notre Dame, IN, USA), Johannes Zachhuber(Trinity College, University of Oxford), David Gwynn(Royal Holloway, University of London), Giulio Maspero(Pontificia Università della Santa Croce, Rome), Vito Limone(Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele, Milan), Aaron Riches(Benedictine College, KS, USA) and Ilaria Vigorelli(Pontificia Università della Santa Croce, Rome).

The presentations dealt with some of the most relevant aspects of the theological development that took place in the fourth century on the relationship between the human and the divine in Christ. It is expected that the results of this workshop, once the process of peer review is completed, will be published in a Issue of Studia Patristica (Peeters Publishers) scheduled for 2021.
