→ From May 1 to July 14 Chris Van Ham, Master's Degree student at the Eindhoven University of Technology, is collaborating with Iñaki Echeverría.

→ From April 24 to May 10 we are visited by Alexandre Nicolas from the University of Lyon. Dr. Nicolas will give the seminar graduate "Anticipation in pedestrian dynamics (and other human peculiarities)".

→ Sergio Ardanza-Trevijano, Roberto Arévalo, Sahily Estradé, Diego Maza and Iker Zuriguel publish "Three-dimensional granular deposits characterized by persistent homology" in Physical Review E.

Diego Maza together with Muhammad Ahmed Hanif and Devaraj van der Meer publish the article "Effect of particle shape on the discharge from a mono-layer hopper", in Granular Matter. This is the result of Muhammad's stay in our laboratory in the CALIPER framework .

Sara Levay gives the lecture "Collective behavior of photoactive macroscopic particles" at the APS Global Physics Summit in Anaheim, USA.

→ The article "Granular convection in a monolayer induced by asymmetric horizontal oscillations", by A.J. Batista-Leyva, D. Hernández-Delfin, Karol Asencio, R.C. Hidalgo, D. Maza, is published in Physica A. This work was born with the stay of Alfo Batista in our laboratory more than 3 years ago.

Diego Maza and Martín Maza participate in the 3rd meeting of the Spanish Chapter of the Complex Systems Society (CS3). 19-21 February 2025, Madrid, Spain. Martín Maza presented "Frictional oscillations for tunable particle driving".

Iker Zuriguel, together with François Gu, Benjamin Guiselin, Nicolas Bain, and Denis Bartolo publish the article "Emergence of collective oscillations in massive human crowds" in Nature. This work started in 2019 and will continue in the coming years thanks to the "Sanfermín CrowLab" agreement with the Pamplona City Council.
