Purpose of anti-plagiarism tools for your teaching:

Look for any similarities that may exist between the text that a student has submitted and other texts on the internet. 
 

Anti-plagiarism tools work by searching instructions from data, magazines and all over the internet for a match or similarity to the text you are presented with.
 

From this, a report of originality is generated, i.e. a report which reflects the percentage of similarity of the text with other sources.
 

The teacher, on the basis of this report, will decide whether it is an original work or not. Often a high percentage of overlap does not necessarily mean plagiarism.
