The main challenge for Ricardo Forcano, Global Head of Engineering & Organization at BBVA, is the cultural and organizational transformation and the management of people. A challenge that has also been his greatest achievement, because progress has shown that the aforementioned elements have been core topic for the transformation of everything else.

The executive wanted to emphasize that Human Resources departments tend to focus on transformation based on changes in the management talent models, but for this to work "there must first be a cultural and organizational context". Forcano explained how BBVA's transformation has been based on two pillars: purpose and values, because as an organization inspired by purpose, all its members have a common motivation and are aligned. With regard to values, he emphasized the need to "think big and be a single team" in order to move forward.

"Talent is about responding efficiently to your personal and professional demands, and from that point of view, everyone is worth a ten," explained Javier Fernández Aguado, partner Director of MindValue.

The executive of the senior management consulting firm stressed the importance of "developing other people's talent" since the doors to happiness "open outwards". He also reminded that talent must take into account the professional aspect and staff, as "obsession with one leads to the failure of the other".

Isabel Gómez Cagigas, Director of IBM Global Business Services and Director of group Vocento, insisted on diversity as one of the pillars in the management of talent, because financial aid to "broaden the vision of how to look at people". She alluded to her international professional experience and how it has helped her to face situations regardless of the individual culture.

The director explained that "without talent we are nobody, we have to find it, bring it out and see how to develop it", and that is what stands out for her. She indicated how at staff "the development of talent and happiness go together" and that it is a professional internship that "enlarges the heart". However, the problem she most often encounters is "not putting talent in the right place", something necessary since "there is always talent, everyone has talent".
