Bilbao CT Lab was born as an initiative of the ETSAUN interested in Bilbao and its area of influence as an area of work for the practical activities that take place throughout the programs of study of Architecture. The uniqueness and complexity of the Biscayan capital and its region allow this conurbation to be considered as laboratory and a case study on different scales and from different subjects (urban planning, architecture, landscape, design or history). Consequently, an agreement has been reached with Bilbao City Council to organise projects of mutual interest, with the aim of providing each course with real places and programmes with which to develop proposals of interest to citizens.
Both statements and results are publicly exposed through the map and the digital log of the School of Architecture. The goal is to share academic solutions with society to jointly address the challenges of city growth and contemporary human habitat.
