Activities in Bilbao

The link between School of Architecture of the University of Navarra and the city of Bilbao goes back to the origins of the School itself. Since its foundation, more than 50 years ago, many people from Bizkaia have studied Architecture at the School, which has left its mark on the city itself.

In 1997 Bilbao City Council signed a collaboration agreement with the School for the development of proposals for urban development for Bilbao. This agreement included the will of both parties to incorporate the concrete day to day programmes into the academic speech , taking advantage of the academic effort of the teachers and students as an enriching element in the range of formal solutions to an urban approach. The fruit of this agreement was the projects devised by the students in the Zorrozaurre area.

The School of Architecture organises, in the capital of Bilbao, activities of short duration, high quality and professional interest related to the sector of Architecture and design.

In the current headquarters of the University of Navarra in Bilbao, the Ensanche Building, conferences, exhibitions and summer courses are held, as well as teaching at postgraduate program, specifically the Master's Degree in Architectural Theory and design .

Likewise, a CityLab has been set up in Bilbao through which students from Degrees Architecture and design develop various projects in this city.
