The Contemporary Parnassus: Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer

Episode 2 - Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer

After the magic of Rubén Darío, we come to the sensibility of Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, another of the great exponents of Romanticism. We delve into a life with a clear poetic vocation, rebellious and full of muses.

In this episode we delve deeper into the world of Romanticism and discover the emotion of many of Bécquer's "Rimas ", which have managed to transcend and become the roots of contemporary literary movements.

On this occasion, we have Rodrigo López Soto, a Sevillian and student of the double degree Degree Law + Philosophy who honours his compatriot. Welcome to this Becquerian universe!

Contemporary Parnassus

What is the contemporary parnassus?

This is a literature podcast, published fortnightly, about different authors. It is aimed at people who do not have the time to research or inform themselves, but are passionate about literature and are eager to discover it.

Each chapter will be dedicated to an author and we will talk about his or her biography, the literary movement to which he or she belongs and his or her great work, where we will discuss according to our opinions, tastes and previous background.
