TIPS

We offer you a preparation course (dossier of exercises) so that the knowledge you have at the beginning of your programs of study is adequate and you can successfully follow the subjects.

What is included in the dossier
of exercises?

It focuses on mathematical and geometric questions, areas in which students tend to have the most difficulty. You will be able to turn it in the first week of classes and the professors of the subjects Mathematical Analysis and Geometry and Shape Lab will correct it.

This dossier is especially important for those who have not studied in the Spanish high school system, since the first year courses in Architecture are based on the subjects covered by this high school curriculum.

REQUIREMENTS

Here are some characteristics that we recommend you have for your computer

What characteristics
should it have?

During the degree program you will need a laptop computer to develop your projects. It is recommended that it complies with the following requirements:

/Processor: minimum 4 cores (8 cores recommended).
/16Gb RAM minimum. Advisable 32 Gb of RAM.
/SSD hard drive.
/Graphic card.
/Integrated webcam.

Which operating system
is advisable?

The brand of a computer is not the most important thing, but the operating system it uses.

/Both Windows and MacOS comply with the requirements.

Which programs
should I install?

Some programs have special licenses and prices for students.
Programs such as AutoCad and Rhinoceros are fundamental in the Architecture degree study program.
In addition, you will use other tools such as SketchUp and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. The student plan includes Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, etc. We encourage you to try thrm out this summer.

Do I need additional accessories
for the computer?

The biggest problem with laptops is the ergonomics of their use and their effects on health.
Incorrect use of the computer can lead to back pain, contractures and increased stress.
Having the correct posture requires certain external accessories that we recommend.
