New advances in treatment and technology, coupled with the rising incidence and prevalence of cancer, require new approaches to service delivery to ensure health equity and access to effective, sustainable and high quality cancer care.
The Advanced Practice Nurse internship is essential to improving and transforming cancer services to meet the health needs of the population now and in the future.
This seminar will address the changes and innovations needed in health systems to improve patient health outcomes and the cancer care experience. It will also present the evidence on the impact of the Advanced Practice Nurse internship in the care of the cancer patient and family and identify the implications of this nursing profile as an essential leader in transforming cancer care.
