Objectives and competences

The doctoral program Nutrition, Physiology, and Health aims to:
● To train new researchers who can successfully tackle the challenge food science, nutrition, and their relationship to health through an approach to knowledge.
● To further the professional, scientific, and technical development of graduates interested in this broad and critically important research field.
● To train doctors who can contribute to design, innovation, and development new food products that are safe, healthy, and sustainable, and promote optimal promote for everyone at every stage and in every situation of life.
● Provide training on the prevention, detection, intervention, and support for victims of sexual violence in accordance with article .1 of Organic Law LO 10/2022 of September 6 on the comprehensive guarantee of sexual freedom (Official State Gazette of September 7, 2022).
Competences
The doctoral program Nutrition, Physiology, and Health ensures that PhD student acquire the core competencies and personal skills and abilities set forth in article of Royal Decree 99/2011, dated January 28 (Official State Gazette of February 10, 2011), as amended by Royal Decree 576/2023 of July 4, corresponding to Level 4 of the MECES (framework Qualificationsframework for Education ).
