Power networks and their topology

Given that the particles that make up any granular sampleinteract by contact, it is always possible to define a networkof contacts that characterises its spatial distribution and how it transmits stresses to and from the system boundaries.. These subjectnetworks are responsible for the anisotropy of force transmission in granular piles, compacted systems and silos at rest. In this line, we use topological tools to study the role played by the topology of this networkon the equilibrium states reached as well as on the propagation of stresses within it.
