"Cepsa Case: Naomi Gonzalez presents her final thesis at IESE Business School work  Master's Degree

On October 10, Naomi González, a student in the 11th class of Master's Degree Personnel Management Service, presented the project Cepsa Case" project at the IESE Business School in Madrid, together with Teresa Mañueco, Director of development Planning and development at Cepsa.

This event marked the launch of project for Business Cases" project , the result of a agreement between IESE's Social Leadership program, the association of Sustainability Managers (ASG), and the University of Navarra, whose goal to carry out practical cases in all aspects of sustainability: environmental, social, and governance.

Under this agreement, Degree Degree students Degree these cases as part of their final degree projects, under the supervision of a university professor. They then work an IESE professor to turn them into cases for this business school.

The student had the opportunity to present the purpose this case, which deals with the challenges faced by the company in incorporating sustainability policies into its corporate outline . The workshop also presented the cases of Enagas (how it is carrying out its decarbonization process), DKV (how it is implementing its purpose ), and BBVA (how to roll out a diversity policy).

The Cepsa Case has several objectives. On the one hand, it aims to highlight the company's good practices in the face of new ESG challenges. Specifically, this case revolves around the G (Governance) and is contextualized at the moment when Cepsa decided to implement good governance policies within the organization.

Beyond this goal focusing on the pedagogical vision of the case, the aim of the Cepsa Case is, first, to offer an approach to good corporate governance and show its relevance for the proper management of businesses. Second, it aims to foster the ability to analyze alternatives and make decisions from the perspective of senior management, thus complying with the characteristics of the Case Method.

For the student, it was a great opportunity attend project presentation workshop , "Call for Business Cases," and to present the status of her project the company.
