STRATEGIC ALLIANCE
CATSALUT, MERCK, IBM AND TECNUN, THE ENGINEERING SCHOOL OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NAVARRA
This union was born with the goal to share with healthcare professionals the challenges and opportunities of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
In this case, this course focused on Smart Health Awareness-Claves de la aplicación de la Inteligencia Artificial en salud (ES-NONNI-00490) is aimed at healthcare professionals and health managers who wish to learn about the present and future of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in their sector.
Learning objectives
01.
At the end of this course, participants will understand how Big Data and Artificial Intelligence technologies, through different methods and tools, are revolutionising the healthcare sector.
PROGRAMME AND CONTENTS
100 % online
Methodology: model intensive of alternate weeks, with recorded and live sessions.
The recorded sessions (asynchronous) will be studied autonomously.
Live (synchronous) sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Flexibility in materials and recorded sessions available to students.
Through some examples and experiences we will learn about the challenges and opportunities offered by Artificial Intelligence in a context of digital transformation to add value in the care and treatment of patients and diseases.
Making quick and accurate decisions requires quality information. The collection of data; its organisation; analysis and visualisation, requires a transition towards a "data culture"; entering the virtuous circle of Big Data & Business Analytics.
It is common to visualize the technological development in healthcare through different devices -in what has been called IoT (Internet of Things: telemetry bracelets, facial recognition, voice recognition, etc.)- or some applications: robot assistants, image recognition or Natural Language Processing (NLP). These elements are a continuous source of generation of data. Discovering the scope of the science of data in the field of healthcare requires us to understand how machine learning or deep learning algorithms can help us to develop predictive models and to generate autonomous systems that learn progressively. The application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) cannot allow us to get there sooner and faster.
Behind the data and the devices that obtain them there are people. Behind the design of some mathematical algorithms there may be biases. Respect for the law and legal responsibility are necessary; an ethical perspective is essential.
goal With the aim of inspiring and disseminating the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to the different processes in the health sector, participants will learn first-hand about some real cases of application of technologies where significant progress has been made.
Academic staff
The team of lecturers is made up of AI specialists, company managers, academics and practitioners of recognised professional prestige and proven track record in the field subject , who transmit not only theoretical knowledge, but also their own experience in practical application, providing solutions in the health sector.
