Epitaph of Redemptus (71-130 A.D.)

Molded granite architectural block, with scorch marks along the edges, especially on the right side and at the base. This support, containing the epitaph of an individual identified by a single name, Redento, which is dedicated to him by his son, Flávio Zózimo, integrated a funerary construction in one of the necropoles of the capital of the civitas Igaeditanorum. Discovered in a wall of fence next to the Ponsul river, in Idanha-a-Velha, it can be found in the local Epigraphic Archive.
