Lastra funeraria di Pomponius (III-IV c. A.D.)

Marble rectangular slab, lacking the sinister lower corner, found in the Ebraic catacomb of via Monteverde. Starting from this beam, the caratteri are disordinately distributed on the sides of a stylized menorah (seven-braced candelabra). The inscription, of subject sepolcrale and in Greek language, recalls a Pomponius, twice archon of the synagogue of the Calcarensi.

Dimensioni: 21 x 38 x 3; lett. 2,3.

ICJ, I 384 cf. add. 1975, p. 35; JIWE, II 165;
