Introduction

The Degree in Medicine comprises 360 ECTS credit credits, to be obtained in six academic years. The load per year is 60 ECTS credit credit credits for basic, obligatory and elective subjects. Overall:

- Basic subjects (BS): 62 ECTS credit credits

- Obligatory subjects (OS): 264 ECTS credit credits

- Elective subjects (ES): 28 ECTS credit credits

- End of degree project: 6 ECTS credit credits

The study plan for a medical degree can be complemented with one of the itineraries that the Faculty offers. These itineraries group together the elective subjects related to certain areas of medical expertise:

- Diploma in Biomedical Research

- Diploma in Surgery

Taking advantage of the elective credit load, the Degree in Medicine at the University of Navarra can be accessed at fill in with a pathway and two own degrees that are taken along the degree program:

The International Program provides students with a global vision of medicine through teaching in English, electives taught by international professors, academic stays through Summer Courses and international rotations.

It is made up of theoretical and practical subjects that are studied in the laboratories of the School de Medicina, the Clínica Universidad de Navarra and the research center Médica Aplicada; all under the direction of a Tutor of research.

It includes theoretical and practical surgical subjects such as Microsurgery, Plastic Surgery, Hand Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In addition to these subjects there is also a specific training in the Simulation Centre through subjects that focus on surgical and laparoscopic techniques. In higher courses it is recommended to do at least one summer clinical rotation in the surgical services of hospitals with which #MedUNAV has agreements.
