SCIENTIFIC CULTURE TO promote PASSION FOR SCIENCE
The BIOMA Center aims to become the stage where the university community and society in general discover science. A place where the knowledge generated by the research inspires people to make a commitment to provide solutions to the problems of our society and care for the environment as a common good.
"The future Science Museum will be a place to experience science, a loudspeaker for advances in science, a platform for meeting with society to transmit the values of caring for the environment and the problems of our society".
IGNACIO LÓPEZ-GOÑI
Director of the University of Navarra Science Museum
A university museum for scientific research, education and communication
The Science Museum will be an open space for building new ways to learn about and disseminate knowledge of science.
One part of the educative mission of the BIOMA Center is the University of Navarra Science Museum. Its collections are the result of decades of scientific research on biodiversity and ecosystem and environmental management. It houses nearly one million museum records of animals (including invertebrates, arthropods, mollusks, fish, birds, reptiles, and mammals), plants, fossils and minerals of more than ten thousand different species.
