LEARN BY DOING
Project-based learning
The Degree in design/Design is based on learning creativity by processes, in the teaching by projects. An interdisciplinary Education that seeks the training transversal and integration of knowledge.
Exercises are combined in group vertical, where each student responds to a part, with the development of specific projects. This approach helps you develop the ability to analyze, conceive, synthesize, develop and implement projects within the field of design.
THE BUILDING
School of Architecture
The project-based teaching starts from the very setting in which the Degree is taught at design. The building was expressly designed to house the teaching by projects. With the goal to serve itself as a learning tool, it was conceived as a classroom-workshop, articulated around a central and diaphanous space that allows a fluid relationship and communication between teachers and students. This spatial configuration reinforces the methodological application of the vertical workshop and its multiplying and integrating effect of the project-based teaching .
INTERNATIONAL VOCATION
The Degree in design/Design stands out for its clear international vocation. The first year is taught entirely in English and the rest of the courses combine subjects in English with others in Spanish.
Each of the projects has a guest lecturer or professional who teaches and sits on the jury that assesses the students' work. These professors come from the main international schools of design .
You will be able to spend one week each academic year in European capitals such as Venice and Copenhagen, to learn and be inspired by our teachers.
In addition, you will have the possibility of doing an international exchange in the second semester of the third year at one of the universities with which the School has an agreement.
