María Iraburu Elizalde is president of the University of Navarra since December 2021. She has been Vice President of academic staff since 2012 and a member of the boards of the Schools of Medicine and Science. In 2005 he joined Office of the Executive Council as Vice President Alumni. During the 2018-19 academic year, he completed the Senior Management Program (PADE) at IESE. In 2020 she joined the Board of Trustees of the Catholic University of America. thesis A biologist from the University of Navarra, she defended her doctoral dissertation at department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 1992 and between 1993 and 1996 she completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. In 1996 he joined the University. Since then, she has combined her degree program research with teaching and university governance. She has been principal investigator of 7 research projects and has directed 8 doctoral thesis . Full Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, she has taught teaching at Schools in Medicine and Science. She currently teaches Structural and Functional Biochemistry and Macromolecule Biosynthesis and Regulation at Degree at Biochemistry .
