The Doctoral Program in Natural and Applied Sciences is part of the Doctoral School of the University of Navarra, which is responsible for the planning, coordination and oversight of doctoral programs. It is affiliated with the Area of Experimental and Health Sciences and serves as the primary research and teaching reference in Natural and Applied Sciences within the School. The School of Sciences is the center responsible for its organization and development.

In this context, the Program has a clear multidisciplinary and cross-departmental vocation and involves the Departments of Physics and Applied Mathematics, Chemistry, and Environmental Biology, all of which are part of the School of Sciences. Faculty members from these departments supervise and co-supervise doctoral theses.

Objectives and competences

We train PhD students through high-quality research , with results that are relevant to society. From the outset, we encourage multidisciplinarity in a broad and open academic environment. We promote synergies between the research carried out by our students and their environment, fostering collaborations both within the program and with experts from leading institutions. Graduates of our program are prepared to scientifically analyze complex data in multidisciplinary contexts, actively contributing to the University's strategic R&D+i objectives.
