In our post-secular cultural and social context, there are signs of a growing thirst for God and a sense of transcendence in many circles, especially among young people. This raises a core topic question core topic our mission statement: How can the Church respond to the longing for God that is once again becoming present in people’s hearts? Far from being a theoretical question, this challenge directly impacts our pastoral work and requires reflection on the means and paths through which the Gospel— source only source satisfies humanity’s deepest longings—can transform this generation.
The 11th update conference aims to address, from various perspectives, this new search for God, and to reflect on the pastoral proposals and paths of growth that the Church can offer in an environment shaped by immediacy and emotion: “Let us not deceive our hearts in the face of this thirst, seeking to satisfy it with ineffective substitutes. Rather, let us listen to it. Let us make it a stool upon which to climb and peer, like children on tiptoe, through the window of meeting God. We will find ourselves before Him, who awaits us; indeed, who gently knocks at the door of our soul (Leo XIV, Homily at the Jubilee Mass for Young People, Tor Vergata).”
The conference to create a space for reflection and meeting share ideas and experiences regarding the challenges this generation poses to the mission statement . The sessions are designed internship and seek at all times to foster dialogue among participants.
