Leadership as Service is a program
of the University of Navarra that aims to
promote growth staff through
the development of specific virtues for leadership
leadership: sense of mission statement and purpose,
prudence, humility, resilience, gratitude, service and integrity,
service and integrity.
The 'Leadership as a Service' program aims to foster the acquisition of the following skills virtues that enable and lead to forms of leadership managerpurpose, prudence, humility, resilience, integrity, gratitude and service.
To develop these virtues or character strengths, the program includes the following activities: weekly reading and dialogue sessions on leadership as service and on the necessary virtues, proposals for putting them on internship and developing habits, as well as interviews with a mentor (to be chosen) on the Tu&Co program's framework .
The program is organized by the "Centro Humanismo Cívico for programs of study on the character and ethics of the professions", of the high school of Culture and Society of the University of Navarra, at partnership with the Oxford Character Project of the University of Oxford.
This activity is associated with the realization of an academic study, through surveys of subject anonymously at the beginning and at the end of the program, with the aim of research the University and the improvement of the program. Participation in the study is completely voluntary. All necessary information will be provided before the study begins for those who wish to participate.
At fill in the program will receive a certificate of its completion from the Civic Humanism Center of the University of Navarra. In addition, you will be able to obtain 1 ECTS credit for recognition of activity.
The sessions are oriented to internship and based on dialogue. They draw on literary texts from the humanist tradition as well as discourses on leadership from various disciplines.
Sessions are held in small groups in order to learn together. These opportunities help students develop relationships beyond their own academic circle, which can last long after they finish the program.
Speakers with a distinguished track record in leadership will be invited to share their life experiences and diverse points of view. Leadership as Service also incorporates a successful mentoring program that offers one-on-one interviews focused on specific competencies.
Who is it aimed at?
Aimed at students who aspire to lead in different circumstances manager and seek growth staff through the acquisition of virtues and character development .

Sense of purpose
A purpose financial aid will help us to become more aware of our identity and our biography staff, to discover the values on which we want to build our life project and to define the contribution we can make to the world. We will actively reflect on the purpose staff from the triangle: identity, values and mission statement.
Humility
Here we focus on the power of that virtue, to know oneself in order to appreciate others, to be open to new ideas and willing to revise one's own positions.
Resilience
It makes reference letter the ability to "bounce back" or recover from stress. It is closely related to other virtues such as hope, courage and wisdom.
Integrity
We encourage participants to develop an honest, respectful and upright personality.
Prudence
His development, which consists of learning to look at situations in all their complexity and doing the right thing, is an essential virtue for knowing how to lead in different contexts.
Gratitude
Gratitude is an essential disposition for relationships with others. It requires the ability to recognize the benefits we receive from others. We will ask ourselves about the meaning of gratitude and what are the most appropriate ways to express it, avoiding some common misunderstandings.
Service
Leadership exercised as service financial aid helps each person to develop better and be happier, to the extent that he/she gives himself/herself to others.
