The goal of this line of research is to explore the anthropological, historical and ethical aspects of palliative care by examining values such as gratitude, compassion and dignity and understanding the essential attributes and values of palliative care.

· Objectives: To review the use of palliative sedation and offer a new modified concept, proportional SP, which allows for greater patient well-being.

· Objectives: To study the association the perception of dignity and the desire to die, and to learn about the experiences of patients with advanced disease and a desire to die.
