Pre(ad)diction: prevention of addiction in the campus
First roundtable of the sessions on addiction prevention in the campus of the University of Navarra that will be held at degree scroll "Experiences of patients with substance disorders". These sessions are organized by the School of Nursing and the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra in partnership with Tantaka, the Clínica Universidad de Navarra and Antox.
Second of the three round tables of the sessions on addiction prevention at campus of the University of Navarra, which will be held at degree scroll "Experiences of professionals on substance disorders". These sessions are organized by the School of Nursing and the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra in partnership with Tantaka, the Clínica Universidad de Navarra and Antox.
Third and last of the round tables of the sessions on addiction prevention at the campus of the University of Navarra, entitled "Professional experiences on behavioural disorders". These sessions are organised by the School of Nursing and the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra in collaboration with Tantaka, the Clínica Universidad de Navarra and Antox.
Alcohol and Tobacco Awareness Raising
300 secondary school students from the Jesuit, La Compasión Escolapios and San Cernin high school diploma from the Jesuitas, La Compasión Escolapios and San Cernin schools took part in the University of Navarra in conference to raise awareness about the consumption of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs.
In the sessions, the pupils simulated the visual and motor impairment caused by alcohol, cannabis and opiates, with real environments and situations after massive consumption. The goal of these conference, organised by the classroom Saludable of the School of Nursing of the University of Navarra, is to raise awareness among young people and adolescents, and promote in this way to encourage consumption manager.
The classroom Saludable de School de Enfermería of the University of Navarra held an awareness-raising event on alcohol and tobacco consumption at workshop on the corner of Carlos III Street and Roncesvalles Street.
During the meeting, which was open to the general public, all those who attended were able to experience the effects of these substances in a simulated way, with real environments and situations after massive consumption. The aim of goal was to raise public awareness about the reality of alcohol and tobacco, and promote to encourage responsible consumption.
The meeting included information tables, as well as a virtual reality circuit where visual alterations are recreated with interactive simulation glasses. Similarly, smokers who attended were tested for carbon monoxide levels in exhaled air.
These conference have been subsidised by the department of Education of the Government of Navarra, through the projects presented by the María Egea Chair of the School of Nursing of the University of Navarra.
What does it consist of?
180 students from high school diploma from IES Navarro Villoslada took part in workshop to raise awareness of alcohol and tobacco consumption, held at Main Library Building of Science at the University of Navarra.
During the meeting, the students had the opportunity to experience the effects of alcohol and tobacco in a simulated way, with real environments and situations after massive consumption. The aim of goal was to raise awareness among young people and adolescents about the reality of alcohol and promote to encourage responsible drinking.
The meeting included information tables on alcohol and tobacco consumption. Students also participated in a virtual reality circuit where visual disturbances are recreated with interactive simulation glasses; and in an over-stimulation classroom that simulates a leisure place where young people usually meet.
Similarly, smoking students participated in an analysis of carbon monoxide levels in exhaled air in smokers, as well as in a dynamic game on knowledge, values, beliefs, attitudes about alcohol and tobacco in young people. Finally, they attended a conference with testimonies from anonymous alcoholics.
What does it consist of?
100 students from high school Miravalles and students and employees of the University of Navarra went to the Amigos Building of the University of Navarra for workshop to raise awareness of alcohol and tobacco consumption.
The workshop consisted of information tables, circuits recreating visual and motor disturbances after alcohol consumption, with simulation glasses and analysis of carbon monoxide levels in exhaled air in smoking participants.
After the simulated experimentation of all these effects, students and employees were able to play games on knowledge, values, beliefs, attitudes about alcohol and tobacco in young people.
Finally, the DYA Navarra carried out a simulation and the participants were able to listen to the personal testimony of people belonging to the Alcoholics Anonymous Association.
