Its objectives include the promotion of the research on this subject of events, as well as systematize and disseminate knowledge, contributing to create a network of highly qualified professionals, who can contribute their knowledge to the service of prevention, response and adaptation to crisis situations caused by natural phenomena, environmental or other causes, difficult to control.
The Chair of the Aon Foundation Spain is revealed as a favorable framework to connect the research with the real needs of the environment and put it at the service of society.

The Aon España Foundation and the Observatorio de Catástrofes have created the award José María Sarriegi de knowledge dissemination Científica to the best article of research academic on topics related to the management of catastrophes that has been published in a high impact specialized journal.
The AON Foundation is part of committee advisor of Tecnun companies. In turn, the School of Engineering belongs to the Think Tank of the AON Foundation.
