Gustavo Cisneros (1945-2023) was the Chairman of the board of Directors of CISNEROS, a private business with nearly 100 years of experience operating businesses worldwide. Acting as CEO since 1970, Gustavo has prioritized the strategic development of CISNEROS and the enhancement of Latin America's profile on the world stage, promoting Education, the principles of democracy and individual freedom in the region. Currently, CISNEROS has three divisions. Cisneros average produces and distributes entertainment content on all platforms worldwide. Cisneros Interactive is the leading independent digital advertising business in Latin America, representing brands such as Facebook, Spotify and LinkedIn and selling its proprietary solutions on mobile and audio platforms. Cisneros Real Estate is manager of the strategic positioning of the business' real estate portfolio, Tropicalia being the most significant undertaking.
 

Apart from these three divisions, AST & Science, CISNEROS' latest investment, goal to provide worldwide connectivity through LEO satellites. In addition to his responsibilities at CISNEROS, Gustavo is a member of the board of Directors of Barrick Gold Corporation, where he is also a member of the Internationaladvisor committee and the Compensation committee , as well as Chairman of its Corporate Governance and Nominating committee . He is a director on the Global Advisory board of the Council on Foreign Relations; a senior advisor RRE Ventures LLC; a founding member of the United Nations Information and Communications Technology (ICT) work group ; and a member of the Ibero-American committee on Productivity and Competitiveness; the Instituto Atlántico de Gobierno; and the board of trustees of the Fundación Cardenal Cisneros.
 

He recently received an honorary doctorate from the University of Miami and Babson College. In the past, Gustavo has held a wide variety of management and leadership positions in prominent organizations in Latin America, the United States and Spain, in the private sector, non-profit organizations, academic centers and cultural institutions. Together with his wife Patricia Phelps de Cisneros, Gustavo established the Cisneros Foundation, a private, non-profit institution dedicated to improving Education in Latin America and fostering global knowledge on the topic the region's contributions to universal culture.
 

The Cisneros Foundation develops and coordinates CISNEROS' Corporate Social Responsibility efforts to strengthen the social core, promote freedom of expression, foster economic development and strengthen cultural understanding. Gustavo Cisneros earned a licentiate degree in Business Administration from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
