The doctorate programme in History and Critical Analysis of 20th Century Spanish Architecture, offered by the University of Navarra, is a programme adapted to the European Higher Education Area Education and complies with Royal Decree 1393/2007 of 29 October, which establishes the organisation of official university education.
In July 2011 it was favourably evaluated by the Commission of assessment of the programme of accredited specialization towards the Excellence to programmes of doctorate of the National Agency of assessment of the Quality and accreditation (National Agency for Assessment of Quality and Accreditation), verified positively by the committee of Universities, and C with official character by the Ministry of Education (BOE 10-II-2010). The doctoral program in History and Critical Analysis of 20th century Spanish Architecture is part of the School of doctorate of the University of Navarra.

The programme has a history of growth and consolidation. The line of research that feeds and justifies it began many years before its institution as a distinct programme in 2004. Prior to that, within a less specific programme, a series of research projects had already been carried out which laid the foundations for its viability. instructions . This viability is also supported by the existence, since 1994, of a Historical file of Spanish Architecture at the University of Navarra and by the biannual holding, since 1998, at School of Architecture of an International congress of the History of Contemporary Spanish Architecture.

In the same way, professors from other Departments of the University of Navarra can participate in the development of the Programme, mainly in the co-direction of thesis doctoral theses.
Likewise, professors and doctors from other national and foreign institutions can participate in the Programme, as they have been doing, either in the co-direction of doctoral theses, giving seminars, mobility actions (both of doctoral students and of the professors themselves), participation in thesis tribunals convened to obtain the European/International Mention in the doctoral degree, etc.
Body in charge of the academic management and management of the programme. It is composed of the coordinator of the programme, the Associate Dean/Deputy Director manager of the third cycle in the centre and the corresponding Deputy Director of the School of doctorate.
