Presentation
Human rights are undoubtedly one of the keys to understanding the functioning of contemporary legal systems. Since the emergence of the so-called "conventional State", the influence of human rights on all sectors of law has become increasingly evident, to the point that nowadays all legal operators, regardless of the area in which they carry out their professional internship , work more or less directly with them.
The International Human Rights Protection Programme (IHRP) is aimed at those working in the public or private sector who wish to deepen their knowledge of one of the most important aspects of any general theory of human rights: the protection of human rights at the international level.
To this end, the University of Navarra has developed this programme, whose syllabus includes the study of protection in the universal system of the United Nations, in the European system and in the Inter-American system. The classes will be taught by professors with a solid and consolidated academic and professional background in the field of human rights.
The program will run the week of January 8-12, 2024, with classes every morning, afternoon activities and a closing roundtable on Friday.
The Programme is part of the University of Navarra's Master's Degree in Human Rights and will be equivalent to 3 ECTS credit.
