project in Spain
training professionals in palliative care
EL PROJECT
Serious chronic diseases, such as advanced cancer, heart disease, and respiratory problems, affect millions of people in Spain and reduce the quality of life of patients and their families. A palliativeapproach improves well-being, alleviates suffering, and can reduce healthcare costs.
The project in Spain trains professionals from all specialties and care settings to integrate palliative care at an early stage, identifying and addressing patients' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs, encouraging compassionate conversations, and referring patients to specialized teams when necessary.
Palliative care is everyone's responsibility.
We collaborate with hospitals, health centers, universities, and other organizations to train and educate professionals, raise awareness, and help create communities that are better prepared to support people living with serious illnesses.
VISION
Palliative care is everyone's responsibility. Everyone in Spain who needs palliative care should receive it early and compassionately, regardless of where they live.
VALUES
An unwavering commitment to human dignity , compassion, and quality, placing the well-being of patients and their families at the center of our work.
MISSION
Ensure that healthcare professionals in Spain have the fundamental skills to offer a palliative approach to patients and their families.
