Why hydrogen?

Hydrogen has acquired strategic relevance in recent years as a core topic for the global energy transition and, especially, in the framework of the European Green Pact. This momentum is due to its capacity to act as a raw subject , fuel and energy vector, as well as its potential to store energy. In a context of growing urgency to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve climate neutrality, hydrogen is positioned as an essential solution to decarbonize sectors that are difficult to electrify, such as heavy industry and long-distance transport.
In the Chair of Energy Transition Fundación Repsol-University of Navarra we work to spread the knowledge about this energy vector and its applications.
