The academic calendar can be found on the UNAV website. The exam period is after the end of classes. At the end of the academic year, in June, there is an "re-sit examination period Exams" which is for students who have failed a subject at any time during the academic year. They can take an exam in June and, if they pass, they will receive a new grade for that subject.

Please note that each subject has a different exam timetable, and some have no exams at all. You can check the exam dates for your classes on the website of each School under "Students" (top right) and "Exams". The dates are usually published at the end of the first month of classes.

Do not book a flight ticket until you are sure of the date of your last exam.

Your university email account can be found at portal MiUNAV. Your university email address ends in: alumni.unav.es. The password is the same as the one you use to access portal miUnav. If you have forgotten it, or if you have any problems logging in, you can go to any of the "Information Points" located in the foyer of Central Building and in the central area of Amigos Building. You can also go to Computer Services, which is located in the basement of Amigos Building.

Your "carnet" is your student ID card and also gives you access to the buildings at campus. You will receive your card at the IFP student orientation meeting. If you arrive at campus early, don't worry, there are security guards/receptionists or "bedmen" at entrance in each building, and they may allow you to enter until you have your ID.

Once you arrive at campus, all non-native speakers will take a short diagnostic test in the first week of classes. The results of this test will allow the Spanish teachers to make last minute adjustments to the levels. For this reason, Spanish subjects begin in the second week.

Yes, there is free WIFI Internet access at campus for students. To access WIFI, select "eduroam" from the WIFI option on your device. You will need your myUNAV email and password to log in.

If you need to make a payment from enrollment, verify any previous payments or organise future payments, you should go to "Office of the Registrar", which is on the entrance floor of Central Building.

There is a bookshop, called TROA, at campus where you can buy the books you will need for class, as well as the teaching materials you will need. The bookshop is located on the entrance floor of the Ismael Sánchez Bella Building. There is also a branch of the bookshop outside campus (but within walking distance) located at Avenida Sancho el Fuerte, 24 (in the Iturrama neighbourhood). The university bookshop has its own website. The bookshop at campus is open from 9am to 7pm, Monday to Friday.

ADI is an indispensable tool that you will use all the time. It is essentially an online classroom . It will list all the classes you are registered for and you will find all the information about the subjects, the content and the teacher, as well as when and where the class takes place. Your teacher can leave relevant information on the site (grades, information about exams and quizzes or projects) as well as study material.

You can access ADI with your student ID and password (the same as for your email account) from the University home page (the tab at the top of the page that says classroom Virtual ADI).

Each student at the University is assigned an academic advisor . It is important that you meet with your advisor at the beginning of semester and whenever you have questions about your subjects, future Degree programmes, grades, etc.

You will be notified of your advisor by email -alumni.unav- (with information from contact) at the beginning of semester. We will try to send you this information before the first week of class.

The exception to the standard start and end dates are the ILCE courses. ILCE's subjects are Spanish, grammar and pronunciation, but ILCE also offers courses whose content and methodology allow you to carry out a socio-cultural immersion. You can consult the specific offer for each course on the ILCE website. These classes will start the second week of semester. The final exams for these subjects will take place on the last day of class. In other words, all exams for ILCE subjects will take place before the start of the exam period (December - May - June).

If you need your schedule, to verify your grades, or to create a written request (a formal request to the University regarding academic data), you can access online to Academic Management. You can access it through the UNAV home page, in the students section. You can log in to Academic Management from there with your Username name and UNAV password.

It is not compulsory for the IFP to have a laptop, although it is common for students to have one. Computers are available for students in all buildings.

On the first day of class come with a positive and open attitude, bring material to be able to take grade. The teacher will inform you about the specific Materials you will need. If you have a laptop, you can bring it too.

You are allowed to change subject, when possible, during the first two weeks of semester. After these dates, no changes can be made. If in doubt, you can consult with the IFP coordinator before changing. There are several factors to take into account: if there are places at the subject you want to change to, if there is a timetable conflict with another subject and if the class is in English or Spanish (you need a B2 level to take a class in either language).

IFP students almost always continue at UNAV in one of the programmes at Degree. Each School has its own admissions requirements , but in general (with the exception of School of Medicine) the admission deadlines are 4 and can be consulted here. The application to Degree for IFP students is free of charge.

As a general rule you can validate qualification up to a maximum of 36 ECTS credit of subjects taken at the IFP. The case of each student varies depending on the Degree you wish to take. When the time comes, it will be necessary to make the relevant consultations with the Schools in which the IFP student will begin the Degree the following year.

Some subjects can be validate qualification for first-year subjects and others can be validate qualification for optional subjects, which are generally taken from the third year onwards.
