Two courses two coursesThe first one, vLACEis a course executive aimed at leaders of educational communities. It is taught one day a month for 9 months, at the Madrid headquarters of the University of Navarra. And the second, PRIMEDis an intensive one-week course one-week intensive course for management teams. Both can be taken independently.. However, PRIMED is an ideal opportunity for a leader who has just completed vLACE to integrate his or her management team into the Education character initiative he or she wishes to start in his or her community.
Courses offered by the School of Education and Psychologyat partnership with the Center for Character & Citizenship of the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and with the support of the Templeton World Charity Foundation.
An initiative aimed at promote the Education of character in educational communities in a strategic strategic and intentional way and that and intentional way and offers its leaders the keys to carry it out in their schools.
Juan P. Dabdoub is professor at School of Education and Psychology and member of group of research Education , Citizenship and Character at the University of Navarra. He has led the translation and adaptation of the Center for Character and Citizenship's vLACE and PRIMED Institute courses with the support of the Templeton World Charity Foundation, and has successfully taught them in Spain and Mexico since 2019. His research focuses on how to generate communities in which relationships, Structures and procedures have a positive impact on the development character of its members.
Professor Naval is Professor of Theory and History at Education. She is a former Fellow of Balliol College, Oxford University. Her research focuses on Education citizenship and social participation, the social impact of communication technologies on young people, innovation in education at Education and Education of character. She is principal investigator of the interdisciplinary consolidated group "Education, citizenship and character" since its origin in 1997.
Professor Berkowitz is a world-renowned scholar, researcher and educator. He is the inaugural Chair Sanford N. McDonnell Professor of Education of Character and co-director of the Center for Character and Citizenship at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He is a former professor of psychology and director of the Center for programs of study Ethics at Marquette University. He was also founder and director associate of the research center on Addiction and Mental Health in Milwaukee.
Professor Bernal is a member of the group of research Education , Citizenship and Character at the University of Navarra. Her research focuses on the study of the theoretical foundations of the Education of character in general and applied in different educational settings, as well as on the study of development in specific educational institutions.
Mindy Bier is currently co-director of the Center for Character and Citizenship and a senior researcher in the Division of Educational Psychology, assessment and research at School of Education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Her expertise spans the fields of character Education , teacher preparation and professional development and design and the use of educational technology to enhance teaching and learning.
Aitor R. Salaverría is partner of group of research Education , Citizenship and Character at the University of Navarra. His research focuses on the study of the Colegios Mayores and similar communities and the alignment of their practices with the prescriptions of the most recognised character Education programmes.
